EXOTIC FELINE RESCUE CENTER MISSIONS

Mission: March 2013

PEIVDF conducted our fifth mission to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, in Center Point, IN in March 2013 to work on eight of the sanctuary's more than 240 residents cats! A new mission worker from Texas joined one veteran mission worker and PEIVDF instructors for the weekend's work.

Narrowing avoiding being stranded by a snowstorm, by the end of the weekend, PEIVDF treated four lions and four tigers (no bears - oh my!) with 17 root canal therapies, 6 extractions, and one biopsy of a mysterious lump.

Photos from this mission will be posted HERE in the coming weeks. Check back again!

Mission: September 2012

PEIVDF returned for our fourth mission to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, in Center Point, IN in September 2012. PEIVDF instructors and mission workers treated seven sanctuary residents - as always, we had another busy weekend! A couple of veteran mission workers and PEIVDF instructors took on the weekend's work.

Two cougars, two leopards, and three tigers were treated with 23 root canal therapies, and 17 extractions, and all are feeling much better after their necessary dental work.

Mission: March 2012

PEIVDF returned once more to the Exotic Feline Rescue Center, in Center Point, IN in March 2012 to work on eleven sanctuary residents - it was a busy weekend to say the least! A new mission worker from Canada joined three veteran mission workers and PEIVDF instructors for the weekend's work. Joining PEIVDF for his inaugural mission was our newest Board member, Dr. Jan Bellows.

Five tigers, four lions, a Puma, and a Canada Lynx made up the patient list for the weekend. Dr. Bellows reported that the team worked together seamlessly and the mission was a great success - a great deal of work was accomplished in two short days.
